INDUSTRY VETERAN MITCH PERLISS TO HEAD RAZOR DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT
A New Home Entertainment Company Under Ilixco

January 04, 2004 LOS ANGELES -- Jeff Fergason, president and CEO of Ilixco, has named industry veteran Mitch Perliss executive vice president of Razor Digital Entertainment (RDE), a new home entertainment company under the Ilixco umbrella. Founded in October 2003, RDE is a home video and DVD sales, marketing, and distribution company. Initial releases are scheduled for March 2004.

As executive vice president of RDE, Perliss will be responsible for all aspects of the company, including acquisitions, marketing, branding, sales and publicity efforts. Perliss's focus will be establishing distribution agreements for a wide range of home video and DVD releases including product that can be viewed in 2D or 3D, films originally released in IMAX or other Giant Screen Theaters, independent horror films, foreign films, art house films and direct-to-video releases. At present, RDE has established four separate labels for its products – Sand Hill, Woodside, Film Festival Collection and Razor.

Mitch Perliss has been in the home entertainment software industry for more than 30 years, holding executive positions in all aspects of the business including retail, wholesale and distribution companies as well as with music and video studios. Perliss spent the last three years as Vice President and General Manager at the large entertainment conglomerate, Enterprise Media LLC d.b.a. SlingShot Inc. where he managed the worldwide home video division. Perliss's outstanding sales and marketing strategies resulted in a 400% increase in sales over a three-year period.

Before SlingShot, Perliss has his own consulting firm for more than three years, where he developed successful strategies for star-up companies in the home entertainment business. Prior to that, Perliss worked for the Handleman Company as Vice President, Merchandising for Anchor Bay Entertainment, and Vice President, Marketing, for Strand Home Video and was in charge of all product emanating on the West Coast. Some of his efforts included developing a cross-promotional platform resulting in the best-selling title in the company's history and designing sales and marketing campaigns for new and catalog product that ultimately grew his West Coast division from zero to $3 million in sales within a year.

During an eighteen-year career in retail, Mr. Perliss was responsible for purchasing, advertising and merchandising for two of the largest music and video retailers on the West Coast, Wherehouse Entertainment and Show Industries d.b.a Music Plus. During that time Perliss was an innovator in many areas, including developing retail programs that were duplicated by retail chains nationwide. Mr. Perliss was also responsible for integrating video rentals into a previously sales-only retail environment, developing operations and merchandising systems that are still being used in retail today. During his tenure, both chains were named ‘Retailer of the Year' by NARM, a national retail trade association.

RDE is a sister company to i-O Display Systems, LLC ("IOD"), a manufacturer of personal display devices and stereoscopic 3D products for both video and computer uses. i-O Display Systems develops and markets a variety of specialty components including optics, miniature imagers, electronics and product subassemblies based on our patented technologies. i-OD is based in Sacramento, California with business development offices in Menlo Park, CA and manufacturing partners in Taiwan, Korea and China.
